John 8: 1-11
John 8: 1-11
1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
This is one of my most favorite scriptures in the bible. I will tell you why because Jesus can be told anything but his decision on a thing is final. See he doesn’t need a vote. There is no democracy it is what it is. Let me help someone who may have been saying just a few minutes ago someone isn’t saved. Saying someone should be killed for what they have done. See I have come to realize that SIN IS SIN IS SIN IS SIN IS SIN. Let me help you out there is no big ones or little ones sin is just that sin. When Jesus went to Calvary some 2008 years ago he went with a purpose. That purpose was for moments when Darnell had a lapse in good Godly judgment. He wanted us not to only live with him but to be free, powerful, set a part as well as a few other things. Your calvary lesson you can get from Matthew 27. Anyway they had caught the woman getting to know a man biblically but the question I have is how did they find her lest they were looking for trouble. See some people are looking for you to be in trouble but are pissed and yes I said that word when Jesus just writes in the dirt. Now if you were trying to tell me something important that was life or death and I was writing in the dirt wouldn’t you be mad? Anyway the scribes and pharisees were looking to make Jesus be fool. Think about it they were tempting him. The bibles says you are not to tempt the Lord thy God. Anywho. Man watch what they say. Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now I am going to show you something. People will watch you do dirt and sometimes enjoy it but then call Jesus or someone of authority about you doing it. Now I think the pharisees in this particular scripture were a bunch of perverts. They was watching this woman getting to know a man. Watch this though they throw the biblical law at Jesus. The Mosaic law of those days said she should’ve been stoned. Watch this some of the stuff you have done in life you should by the old law be stoned. See understanding this Jesus said in his word he didn’t come to destroy the law or the prophets but to fulfill it. See he understood in a little while he was getting ready to die for EVERY sin ever committed. Wow. Right there Jesus is teaching us compassion. See we all know some bodies secrets and we are so ready to tell it. Be careful how you deal with that situation because Jesus has the final say. See this woman doesn’t have a name yet she has so much significance because we are doing bad things to people in the name of Jesus and we are not following what Jesus is doing. Remember this Jesus said “I came to bring you life more abundantly.” See she was in the midst of sin and by law she is supposed to be dead but Jesus brought her abundant life that it is still radiating on today. See back in the day you couldn’t be running around hoeing. It wasn’t allowed. See but now a days we are allowing our children to grow up instead of old fashion we got them dressing up in hoe fashion. I am sorry but we must protect our babies. See now I see what the scripture means for me. I was allowing people to stone me with their attitudes and what not because Jesus forgave me and a lot of folks haven’t. Including some folks who are close. Jesus whole conversation wasn’t even that long it was short and to the point “Neither do I condemn thee: go and sin no more.” Come on now if Jesus doesn’t condemn me for what wrongs I have done what is your right? See even though someone has done us wrong we can be wrong by saying stuff like “If you so saved”, and “you supposed to be saved.” Jesus was allowing those pharisees and what not to know I have forgiven and I am still God in the process. It is amazing to me how some people don’t catch that. Husbands and wives you are not God. Employers you are not God. Big Husky you are not God. See I am going to talk about me. So unless you have a heaven or hell to get someone in or out of I suggest silence and allow God to move on your behalf.
When I was asking God where were we journeying to on today he said, “The journey is for those stuck being me.” I get that way every now and then. We all do. So I apologize to anyone if I was not compassionate enough or if I didn’t forgive you. Get something out of this. Oh by the way don’t believe me study for your self.
