It is over finally.

No more regret

for the things

that binded me.

As I wept for the

pain.

I have to pick up

the pieces of my

life and be made

whole again.

As the tears left

from a wounded

mended by grace

and a mercy only

from God.

You restored my

soul and made me

whole in Your REIGN.

Standing on the edge

of my breakthrough.

Getting beyond all the

things that have failed.

Knowing now that I’ve

lived a life with defeat,

I now know I can go be-

yond the veil.

Very rarely do I make specific poems for people but this goes out to Shamere Reid (death in the family), Bruce Bruce (Mother), Ashanti (Trials and Tribulations), and to some others who are going through

I know you’re going through.

Hold on my friend, God will help

you.

I know in your mind “Can I

pass this test?”

For the trial has caused me

undo stress.

Lord, I cry unto thee: make

haste unto me; give ear unto

my voice, when I cry unto thee.

There is a voice of love unto

your spirit.

Keep God near and continuously

hear it.

and my heart is crying “Peace, be still.”

As I make my heart open to

the change that is sure to come.

Last night before going to bed last night I was sitting around thinking about all God has done for me despite my trials and tribulations. I was thinking of the individuals up on the top of this poem and I begin to weep for them and my heart cried out Hallelujah. The reason it cried out Hallelujah because I wanted to give God the highest praise for my friends trials and tribulations. I wanted to go and stand in the gap for them. I wanted God to embrace them with his love. So I begin to go into praise for them. As God begin to minister to me I begin to minister to me he gave me this poem. I love you all and keep my friends in your prayers.

Super Hero (The Masked Man/Woman)

Look up in the sky it’s a

bird, it’s a plane.

A super hero with a mask

about his face.

Coming to save the day.

Look out criminals for the

super hero is coming to

put you away.

This super hero doesn’t

wear tights or a cape about

his neck.

This super hero can save

the world so the say and is

given a lot of stress.

Do you see the decline of

his alter ego.

As the fight is not about the

spotlight for our super hero.

You see the mask he wears

and the powers that he wields.

Caught up fighting the despair

the is prevalent in the air.

Taking care of the criminals

without any guns.

Super hero’s have to be super

even when they are their alter

ego, now look what his life has

become.

Words like leadership, and role

model fill the skies.

Hurt,depressed,lonely, and past

guilt’s are hidden under the masked

disguise.

So next time you call someone

a mentor or a hero of sorts.

Remember they have an alter

ego that goes beyond the pulpit,

singing, acting, and yes even sports.

Many of us are super hero’s to some and the villain to others. Many of us SUPER HEROS take the blame, shame, fame and guilt no matter what. Many of us SUPER HEROS get caught up at times in being the SUPER HERO as opposed to being Clark Kent. We thrive the most in crisis and on the stage, but life takes us by storm. See I know how rough it can be being a role model and then again being Darnell. To the world I am Big Husky and to my closest ones I am Darnell Roebuck. I battle and struggle with being both all of the time. Sometimes one has taken more out of the other. Mostly Big Husky and not Darnell. Now as I am getting older I understand better what life means to me as a role model or leader. It isn’t about amassing anything if you have no one to amass it with or to leave it to. Thank you God for showing me the way through a simple movie (Blank Man). Hopefully you learned something today. Love you.

The Beautiful Tree

To look at the tree from

a distance you couldn’t

see the beauty that lies

within.

All you see is it’s imperfections,

and it’s swallow of sins.

To be this tree planted

where God wanted it to

grow.

To allow the winds of seasons

a chance to blow.

As the years have had their

way with this tree planted

by the hill.

You cannot see the beauty

of this tree because of all

you see is how life has planted

around it it’s ills.

Let us examine the tree look

at it’s branches which flow like

an eagle soaring in the sky.

The fruit of this tree is ever so

sweet, how ’bout you give it a

try?

The tree is planted in something

you can tell by it’s roots.

It is planted in spirit and is freshly

anointed in truth.

All you can see is the hurt of years,

and the pain it may bestow.

For the beautiful tree was planted

ever so long ago.

The beautiful tree is still a tree not

trying to be a plant.

The beautiful tree is listening for God’s

plan.

The beautiful tree is planted by God

for his purpose and his will.

YOU in fact are the beautiful tree of

life God gave to ease the life for all

whom come in contact with you by

the hill.

Many people will give up on you, make assumptions about you, tell lies about you, and will not see your true beauty and purpose God has set you here for. Be better than what man thinks about you. BE A BEAUTIFUL TREE. LOVE YOU.

A brand new me was inspired by the despair, hopelesness and utter disgust I saw on the people of God’s face. The trials that have become so hard that death would seem to be a warm sunny day. I wanted to embrace the scripture that says to count it all joy. As I go to different churches, functions, and even my regular work day and see the saints of God myself included at times I felt a declaration was needed for the people to be encouraged and loved on. As I was driving to school this morning I was in awe at the beauty of what God has given to me. How much He loved me. I was praising him in song and he was loving me back in my driving. In sorrow I was born, the

pain realized.

For my name called out this

about me for all of my life.

The pain of my name was so

incredible.

also know life can be remarkable.

He saw fit to show me love and my coast, my territory if you must has enlarged because of diligently seeking his face more and more.
