Man I started as a canvas
in the womb.
Told I was going straight to
a tomb.
God was not done what had
just begun.
He looked upon me and filled
me with his son.
Then the world came to try
and corrupt the picture.
This painting will be in my
world museum and remain a
fixture.
As he brushed and painted
and stroked with ease.
It begin as canvas but now
it begin to give your eyes a
little something that pleases.
He stroked and took all of the
blank spots away.
Made me in his worship and
honed the photograph in the
infinite praise.
As the brush continues to make
its mark.
He smiles as fruition begins to
show of his wonderful art.
As he looks at the canvas
making his words a beautiful
sight.
He etched it in me and made
me a visual presence of his
marvelous light.
He changed the canvas to fit
his worth.
Jesus is making me to be his
completed and perfect art-
work.
 
 
  Don’t worry about what people think of the picture of Jesus’ edification and glory is in you. Just continue to be a willing vessel and watch him complete HIS ARTWORK.

Do you love your star player {yourself} like that
dude Katt?
Maybe you liked Bob Hope or Carol Burnett.
Could it have been J.J or was it Mike Epps?
You might have felt like you needed to hear
jokes from some Kings by the names of Ced
and Steve.
Could you have heard of Small Fire to give
you some relief?
What about Jonathan Slocum man I need a
funny one now.
Could you have heard Chris Tucker or Sister
Cantaloupe for your smile?
Some of you know him by his jokes and his
show.
Could you have been ministered to by Big
Husky and his funny flow?
Comedy is about making you see things you
would never say.
Redd Foxx, Jamie Foxx, Tommy Davidson and
those who have paved the way.
Laugh some times even when you don’t see
nothing funny.
I am to big to have dry bones and my spirit
to be broken for which if I laugh God has me
covered, Love you all from your Big Homie.
 
 
 
  When I was writing this I was like I am just going to do christian comedians but I thought about it a lot of comedians are funny.  Those names I called out I have laughed at a joke or two and learned to. It is well with my soul.  Be blessed. Laugh it takes to much to frown.

Where Does Your Victory Lie?

In conversation about a situation or circumstance

does God speak your words?

In hurt and pain is God your comfort and your

ultimate worth?

Does your victory lie around the throne of grace?

Is God your ultimate and is he seen upon your

face?

Even in your sins can folks still see you serving a

great and merciful God?

Do you speak life or do you speak this thing is so

hard?

How is your love expressed to your enemies?

Are you not forgiving when your friends have made

you mad or have broken the trust you have given he

or she?

Is God talking or silent in your life?

Do you even believe he speaks to you through others,

your enemies, children, or wife?

Is God blessing you just waking you up?

Or are you receiving more than enough?

Do you see yourself as to big or to small?

Where does your victory lie in the scheme of it all?

You have victory but do you see it?

They that worship the Lord must worship him in truth

and in your spirit.

  Victory sometimes comes when you don’t have to win the battle.  Victory sometimes comes when you don’t even have the strength to battle with someone.  See I have learned it is okay to wave the white flag not even in defeat but in the thinking that we are battling for what reason?  Some of us are fighting battles and are not winning because I have to get my point across.  We are not winning because we refuse to forgive someone who doesn’t even know they did you wrong. We are not victorious because we are not truly being Christ like.  We are being more man like than anything else.  Some of us go to church and the only reason you dress up is because everyone else does.  Or because the preacher said you had to.  I am not saying go out and get some shorts but I am saying what are you going to do when there are no more church edifices, and you can no longer read your bible publically or privately?  Where will your victory be then?  Are you reading Darnell’s words or are you going and studying for yourself because you would like a better relationship with God.  Quiet as kept I could have lied to you or manipulated the word of God to fit what I wanted to say because the devil will and can use anybody just like Jesus can.  Where does your victory lie?  I have a friend that once told me Jesus said it was alright to smoke.  I asked him when did Jesus say murder was ok?  He said it is not murder. I said if it can kill you and you are doing it then it is murder even if you are the one killing yourself on purpose. I eat to much so I am committing slow murder.  I am going to be free of this thing though. I am done in Jesus name I pray amen.

The Battle With In

Job 13:15
Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

The battle within is deep and heavy burdened.

I have traveled the road of hurt, deceit, and

toiled with the depth of lies.

In my heart I have allowed others to destroy

what you have entrusted to me from Your

abundant life.

My hold has been a death grip for I walk in sight

and not by the power of Jesus.

My truth has become insufficient because my

content has been etched in sin.

Nothing shall separate me from the love, then

how’s come I feel so far away from you?

You said I will never leave you so then it means

I have left from Your worship of truth.

They slay me because I allow them with no regard

for whom besides me that it shall hurt.

My selfish ways have stayed fast in continually

being right before my face.

The battle with in is I want to do right but I feel

so uncomfortable there.

i have been stuck in sin so long that it seems only

right that I stay in it’s glare.

The battle with in has caused my flesh to gratify

beyond my spirit.

I am being slayed continually so God I trust that

you will show up to end it.

Whatever is holding me back I deem that I can’t

rid of it on my own.

I am opening up about my failures, and I want to

be reconciled unto the Lord.

  Life has been a little rough  I admit I put on a good face. God I need to renew my mind so that there will not be a trace of ANY sin.  Someone called me the other day and said Darnell I heard you were dead. I have been told this before but this time I looked at the things I have done and the sins that are still there and said I want better no matter what it takes.  You know the bible says die daily. Meaning this life you have to allow death to come in for life to be lived abundantly.  So some people I have to let go of and something’s I have to leave alone.  Not because they are no good but they are bringing death to what is supposed to be living.  My health is one thing I have never had to worry about because I have been ok for the most part.  I eat to much.  I am officially done eating certain stuff.  I am officially done with certain things because people can’t slay you if you are up under the Lord. People really can’t slay you if you are giving them God, because then they are trying to slay God.That scripture up top lets me know I wouldn’t be able to be slayed if I was under God’s control.  See because people can only get to people whom are slaves to them.  I am neither a slave nor an idiot.  God forgive me. People whom I know forgive me if I have been knowingly or unknowingly holy.  In Jesus name amen.

I remember the first time I tried I messed
up bad I ain’t going to hide, took laxative
pills.
Man all I did was boo boo all day that’s for
real.
Then I had this really really bad dream.
Woke up and found out I was living the
nightmare without no screams.
Messed up I had the gun to my face, blast
off was almost official ’til something else
took place.
The devil was in my ear, I was high off of
the weed smoke but then the devil made
haste.
He was saying stuff like you ain’t spit.
You going to ruin everyone’s life anyway
just get over it.
He even claimed you got a die real G’s don’t
live.
Don’t be a coward come on I got better for
you and your kids.
My destiny was at stake and my purpose
to, this is why I bring the truth so real to
all of you.
I had made to many mess ups, it was time
to go.
I felt God was leaving me hanging nice and
slow.
I couldn’t hear him with the banging in my
head.
I for sure wanted death because I was better
off dead.
Then a voice said to me quite nice, small,
and still.
You are the apple of my eye, and yes son
I am truly real.
I was like no way you gotta be kidding me.
He said this is about more than you but your
family’s whole destiny.
I said to myself Tia, and the kids will be
better without me.
4 years later I was redeemed no longer doubting
the real G.
He said I gave you that smile for such times
as this.
I said but Lord she don’t love me, the world
hates me, and my moms is pissed.
Then he sent some friends who were there
to help pick me up.
Mr.E, Thaddeus and Karen, Tia, Deshawn,
Teyanna, and of course Ma’Leah helped to
fill my cup.
See when Ma’Leah was born I was going to
say “F the World.”
I was preaching,doing comedy, and playing
the well known church world.
At this time I was looking for a way out.
I was done and then February 14, 2005
came without a shadow of a doubt.
See I got the call she was about to be born
just as I was getting to blow my last horn.
See no one knew this I had fallen in the deep-
est depression I had ever faced.
Now God had rescued me by giving me my
saving grace.
Karen prayed for me, Mr. E was by my side.
Thaddeus was helping Karen pray, and Tia
and my other kids wanted me by their side.
Ma’Leah Danielle Roebuck and God was the
reason some of you even have heard of a
Big Husky.
She was born and suicide has no longer been
apart of your boy, that would be me.
 
 
Somebody Pray right now. Someone is getting ready to end it all. Watch what God will do.
  See I was driving today and God showed me that someone is getting ready to commit suicide. I am begging you whoever you are to not end it all. You are more than a conqueror. You are awesome.  God said that he would never leave you nor forsake you. God by the power vested in me from you give that person the peace that passeth all understanding for this particular situation right now.  Love on them. They need you right now. Devil get your hands off of them. I love you Jesus. In Jesus name we pray amen. He said tell your testimony.  I am being honest with you it is a hurting feeling when you are feeling all alone.  My daughter being born helped me to really see what God was saying.  I was living with my friend R.P at the time and even he didn’t realize I was getting ready to blast myself at his crib.  I had fallen.  See I was looking at my life as over and empty.  God showed me that when he died on the cross 2009 years ago he died just for those times.  He made me see that my cup runneth over.  I understand what you are going through today but if God can take me from the point of no return to the point of life being good then I am going to sing his praises.  People say Darnell why do you show love to people who don’t do gospel because I have been there.  Some people are looking to do better they just need someone to say I love you and I am praying for you.  When Jesus fixes you I am still going to love you and be praying for you. This is to those who are sitting on death’s door.  Know that he saved me and he can save you.  So if you wanna be saved call me at 717-557-4799.  By the way I was doing comedy, preaching and everything.  I love you Lord. I thank you Mr.E, Thaddeus and Karen, Tia and my kids. Hallelujah. Heart Failure

Am I capable of loving again?

Will I be true, or will I revert

back to the pain?

The past seeds are an oasis

of hurts I cannot fathom letting

go of?

Has my heart been broken be-

yond true love?

Will I look to succeed at this

fallen dream?

What is my current expectation

of this particular commitment?

Is it true love or will I forever

be locked and loaded shooting

my gun to this illegal or immoral

prediciment?

So many questions no answers.

One way in, and no way out.

For I am now in fear of true love

and now my mind is clouded

with doubt.

Where is my lasting love?

Help I am experiencing heart

failure.

For I am taking my pain out

on my other limbs, and flesh.

Where do I go to be renewed

for the end result I see is death?

  Many of us display actions that take a risk at cutting out our lives.  The bible states that “For the wages of sin is death.”  Every time you sin you wage war on your body and give it over to certain death.  See in the body of Christ we have people who are sinning and instead of being examples and encouraging folks to do right we often accuse them with no real cause.  Oh and by the way the bible says that the devil is the ACCUSER of the brethren.   I would stop accusing people unless we know for sure.  Just because this is what they normally do doesn’t mean they did it this time.  By accusing folks you are acting like the devil.  See the bible didn’t say accuse.  Accusing and not having any concrete evidence is even worse.  The bible also says “JUDGE not lest ye be JUDGED.”  We all hate to be accused, you know why this is?  Because usually when people accuse they don’t have the facts or they are running off of emotion.  In the body of Christ it has been a staple and has ruined the whole body not just one member. When my toe hurts my whole body has to compensate and work harder without that toe working at a 100%.  So if you are in the body help someone come out of their problems by going to God first.  Amen.

Blind

 I am walking into this blind but I am in peace. My spirit is my guide so I have so much relief. I have this covered completely even though people say I am a fool. For what I am about to embark on is known as totally uncool. What is your plan that is what people say. This is unusual and done in such a simple way. Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. I am lost to you from what your eyes can see. I am not stuck on conventional wisdom or its desired effect. This is unusual so why do you have no frets? See what the eye can see most times gives God a little praise. What you cannot see coming to fruition can last until you see Jesus once again. If Jesus can’t take care of me then what am I serving him for? I have blinded my eyes to the problems in front of me so that Jesus has an open door. I wanted to solve the problems but my usual wisdom isn’t seeing seeing me through. So I have been trusting in the Lord while Jesus tells me what it is I need to do. See I was trying to help Jesus out with his plan. Jesus remember man can’t live off of bread alone but by my words that have your heart, mind, and soul to land. I am here for the purpose not the circumstance. So listen to the Lord for your new direction as Jesus tells you how to stand.

Being blind in this sense means to close your eyes to distractions, troubles, circumstances. I was forced to trust God you don’t have to be that way. Do it willingly. My world was rocked because I didn’t hear Jesus when he warned me. You hear the instruction of the Lord for he can bring you out of the financial crunch, family hindrance, ministry failure, friend hurts, and over situations of your day. Stop trying to help God help you. HE didn’t need you to make you, so He doesn’t need you to help you out. Love you be blessed.

When I Praise
 
 
 
When I praise unto the King.
my love has overflowed.
When I praise unto Jesus.
Doors open that once were
closed.
When I praise unto His glory.
I am in total victory.
When I praise unto the Lord.
I am in truth and touching
worship without looking be-
hind me.
When I praise unto Jehovah.
I look forward to being blessing.
When I praise unto El Shaddai.
I can see the people who I
come into contact with begin
to be comforted by His peace.
When I praise unto the Almighty.
Deliverance is my dance.
When unto the Great I Am.
My life is more abundant and
I am more willing to forgive
and give another chance.
When I praise unto God,
Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
I am vested in His sweet com-
munion.
When I praise unto Jesus.
I am found to be the salt and
flavor unto those whom are
hopeless, lost, and feeling so
very useless.
When I praise unto God I am
realizing Praise is who I am.
 
 
 
 
   Are you praise?  Are you worship?  Are you victorious?  Are you ready? Are you hope?  Are you these things?  If you are just give God a praise break right there.  I asked these questions because once you realize that praise has nothing to do with you stepping into a church per say but everything to do with how you live, speak, and are my God somebody watch out!!!! Somebody watch out!!!! Somebody watch out!!!!  When people see you do they get excited because they know you are sure ‘nough about your FATHER’S business?  Somebody give God an AWESOME shout of PRAISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See  I am excited.  Because as I said unto you earlier in one of my poems “God asked me Do YOU TRUST ME?” I said yes and all hell broke loose and I got shook at the beginning of October.  Well I was watching Austin Powers and Dr.Evil had stolen his “MOJO.”  So he thought.  He can’t take what God has made in him.  See I Got My MOJO.  Meaning this I’ve Got THE VICTORY. Somebody down in Willingboro New Jersey made me see that Greater Is He That Is In Me Than He that Is In The World SO BABY Tell the Devil to GET THEE BEHIND ME.  I AM PRAISE.  SOMEBODY SAY YES.  Your yes has just started something.  HALLELUJAH. HALLELUJAH. HALLELUJAH.  HALLELUJAH.  Somebody say YES.  The Young kids in WILLINGSBORO NEW JERSEY where I went to minister to this weekend ministered to me by giving their life back to CHRIST somebody say “GLORY.”  I can’t contain myself I am so excited I cannot hide.  Like the Pointer Sisters said back in the day “I’m about to loose control and I think I like It.”  Jesus.  There is going to be someone to come your way today that will need Jesus will you give it with your praise?  Be blessed.

I’m in and there is no getting out.
I am committed without a shadow
of a doubt.
I don’t have to second guess nor
do I have to front.
I am all about Jesus and that is all
I want.
Other things in my life may come
and go.
I’m in all the way baby this is not a
show.
It doesn’t matter what is said.
I’m gonna praise him,  yes I’m gonna
praise.
I should have been dead holding my
grave clothes tight.
Lord you saw fit to see me through
all of my fights.
HALLELUJAH I sing from the valleys
to the hills.
What more can I say,  I am all of the
way in.
I’m all the way in and I will tell the
devil go to hell.
I am all the way in and I thank you

  I should have died this week but God saw fit to allow me life.  I should have been hurt but prayer made my back alright.  I praise God for allowing me new life and a renewal beyond compare.  I thank you Jesus that I didn’t die if sin was there.  I love you all and cherish the ones around you.  Be easy and be love.

On my ballot will be a different vote.
I will be voting for a country to
have the right to have God in their
midst.
Be it at school, work, or home I
will vote God in.
I am voting for leadership to lead
us in the way of righteousness.
I will be voting for teachers, principals,
employers, pastors, artist [any kind]
and even presidents to remove
the lie that God is not needed to
fix all of our mess.
I will vote for freedom to choose
life and not live at death’s door.
I will not be voting cause he’s black
and certainly note because he is
to old.
I will be voting for Jesus to honestly
be in our and lives reign supreme.
I will be voting for the Word that
says he is the King of Kings.
I will be voting to change the desperation,
hopelessness, poverty, and the strife.
When I in fact vote it will to be to
have abundant life.
I will be voting to see Jesus as the
one and only Lord and savior.
I will be voting but my vote is focused
only on the Lord.

  We are enamored by an election and most of us are only voting because one is black and some are only voting to keep up the good ole boy network.  When you choose to debate about the merits of any candidate allow me to put one up there whom we have obviously forgot.  His name is Jesus.  He is about equality, fairness for all mankind, love, respect of our neighbors, and he is surely about a better health care plan than they can provide.  Send this one to all of your friends not to get a miracle or a sign but so that Jesus is given unto all men.  Maybe for once if we send one of these to our canidates without asking or anything than maybe God will do something different.  The bible says If he be lifted up on the earth He will draw ALL men unto him.  Love.
